Guru Purnima Celebration 2009
Saturday July 4th and Monday July 6th
The disciples of Veda Vyasa chose the full-moon day of the month of Ashadh to be especially
dedicated to honoring the Guru. They chose this day because it had the brightest full moon
of all the year’s full moons. This is the day we know as “Guru Purnima” – the full moon of
the Guru. In Siddha Yoga, Guru Purnima is a time when we honor our Guru, Gurumayi.
We celebrate and express our gratitude for her grace and teachings in our lives.
On Saturday July 4, 2009 the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Miami will celebrate Guru
Purnima with
- A special dinner at 6 P.M.
- A special Satsang at 7:30 PM
On Monday, July 6, 2000 which is the actual full moon of Guru Purnima, our Center will be
open for chanting and meditation from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
Refreshments will be served.
